Collection details are listed below. Designated information can be found under Schedule Search. Appointments may be made by calling the Solid Waste office at (361) 485-3220 or by scheduling online. If you schedule online and approve charges for a large item or tree limb collection, you will receive a response via email with the date of your collection letting you know when to place your items at the curb.
Per the City Code, tree limbs or bulky items may not be placed at the curb longer than 48 hours before collection trucks are in your scheduled service area. If items are left at the curb for longer than 48 hours, your items may be tagged and your address turned over to Code Enforcement, who will then open a case for your address. Please call the Solid Waste division before you place your items on the curb to be collected.ea 2 is the South East, Area 3 is the North West section, and Area 4 is to the South West.
When trucks are scheduled to be in areas on the dates outlined in the schedule search, residents may dispose of up to 6 cubic yards (4 feet high by 4 feet wide by 10 feet long) of tree limbs per quarter without additional charge. Anything over 6 cubic yards within each quarter is subject to a $1.50 per minute collection fee.
Please call in or schedule online before 5:00 pm on the designated deadline date.
Residents who wish to dispose of tree limbs outside their designated area's collection times will need to schedule an out of cycle collection. Out of cycle collections have a $20.00 service fee plus a $1.50 per minute collection fee that residents must agree to before trucks can be scheduled to collect limbs.
Please use the schedule search page or call the Solid Waste division to make sure a truck is scheduled to be in your service area prior to cutting your limbs.
Residents may schedule a bulky item pick up online or by calling 361-485-3220. Please schedule in advance to confirm your collection date and allow time to place items out properly. Items should not be set at the curb more than 48 hours before your scheduled pick up. Residents receive two 6 cubic yards (4 feet high by 4 feet wide by 10 feet long) large item collections per year at no additional charge. If the collection goes over 6 cubic yards, a $1.50 a minute collection fee may apply to the overage. A service fee of $20.00 plus $1.50 per minute applies for more than two large item collections a year.
Vacant lots or unoccupied residential homes not currently billed for services are not eligible for large item collection.

Glass Items: Be sure all glass items are either taped down or broken into smaller pieces and packaged inside a box for safe, effective collection.
Tires: No more than 4 tires may be collected at one time. Tires must be separated from the rim in order to be accepted as a large item collection,
Hazardous Waste: Hazardous waste may not be collected as a large item. If in doubt, please call our office.
At Your Door Special Waste Collection is a service contracted to Waste Management by the City of Victoria to provide residents with a safe and easy way to dispose of hazardous waste. Improperly disposing of hazardous waste may start fires, explode, or react in the automated garbage/recycling collection trucks. To schedule a collection, call 1-800-449-7587.
If you have more materials than can be accepted in one collection, don’t worry! This service is available all year long as many times as you need it!

If you need tree limb or larger item picked up please complete the Larger Item/Tree Limb Collection form or if you need your trash picked up please fill out the Report a Missed Collection form.

There are recycling opportunities available to commercial businesses through Waste Management.
You may take large recyclable that will not fit in your cart to the Waste Management Recycle Center. You must have proof of residence in the form of a water bill and identification card with you when you arrive to drop off recyclables at the Waste Management Recycle Center.
