The Victoria Main Street Program’s annual winter celebration has gotten so big that the City is giving residents an extra day to take part in the festivities.
Merry on Main will be 6-10 p.m. Dec. 8 and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Dec. 9 in downtown Victoria.
Last year, the City partnered with Mother Cluckers Downtown to host an open-air market during Christmas on the Square. Based on residents’ feedback, this year’s event will have a two-day format to give residents time to enjoy all of the market vendors and activities.
The event is being renamed “Merry on Main” because the activities will extend throughout downtown, not just De Leon Plaza.

In addition to the open-air market, which is expected to attract about 100 vendors, the event will include:
- Photos with Santa at City Hall
- Inflatables for children, teens and adults
- Cookies and cocoa provided by Golden Crescent CASA
- Children’s activities hosted by community partners
- Snowy wonderland and snow cannon
- Ice slide (Dec. 8 only)
- Pony rides and petting zoo at De Leon Plaza
