COVID-19 Related Postponement
Individuals who are 65 years or older, and persons with serious underlying health conditions, such as high blood pressure, chronic lung disease, diabetes, obesity, asthma and those whose immune systems are comprised, such as by chemotherapy for cancer or their conditions requiring such therapy, are considered to be vulnerable populations and may request a postponement of their jury duty.
Please note that you should not appear in person for jury duty as this summons mandates all persons appear remotely via Zoom. Should you have any questions regarding jury service exemptions, you may speak to the Municipal Court Judge prior to your service.

Please contact the City of Victoria Municipal Court at (361) 485-3050 or firstname.lastname@example.org if any of the following are true:
- You are sick or not feeling well
- You are under quarantine for COVID-19
- You have tested positive for COVID-19
-You have had contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19
Upon entering the Courthouse, you will be screened by Courthouse Security. If you have a temperature of 99.6 degrees Fahrenheit or higher, you will not be allowed entry into the Courthouse. Additionally, Courthouse Security may deny entry if you have any of the following symptoms: fever, cough, nausea, sore throat, muscles aches, malaise, diarrhea, shortness of breath, vomiting or recent loss of taste or smell.
Instructions: You must report for jury service unless you (1) claim an exemption; (2) are disqualified; or (3) choose to postpone your service. To claim an Exemption: Fill out the form below and mark the exemption(s) that you claim. Submit this request electronically to the City of Victoria Municipal Court Clerk’s Office seven days before your schedule date of service. NOTE: You do not have to claim an exemption and may instead choose to serve. If you are Disqualified: Fill out the form below and mark the qualification(s) that you do not meet. Submit this form electronically to the City of Victoria Municipal Court clerk’s office seven days before your schedule date of service. NOTE: If you claim to be disqualified because you are not a resident of this county, you may become ineligible to vote in this county. If you state that you are not a U.S. citizen, you will no longer be eligible to vote if you fail to provide proof of U.S. citizenship to your county voter registrar. To Postpone or be Excused from Service: Submit your request electronically to the City of Victoria Municipal Court Clerk’s Office seven days before your schedule date of service before your scheduled date of service.
