    Stop by the library and pick up YOUR Mystery Letter Challenge kit all month long! This kit contains a secret letter of the alphabet that only YOU will know. Decorate the letter, take a pictures of 5 objects that begin with that letter, and tag us using #VPLTXKIDS. This will enter you into a drawing to win a prize! Can’t wait to see what you come up with!

  2. Downtown Scavenger Hunt - Adult Program

    Adults! Get outside and enjoy the spring weather! Starting Monday, March 1st at noon, the Victoria Public Library is hosting a scavenger hunt that will be open the whole month of March. Come to the library to get your first clue that will send you on an adventure throughout downtown! You’ll solve fun and challenging codes and riddles that give you letters to solve a code. If you unscramble your code and turn your paper back in to the front desk, you will be entered in a raffle to win a Grand Prize! The puzzles and riddles may be a little difficult for younger children to solve, but this is a family friendly event.

  3. Learning Lab: Eggs-periment

  4. VPL Jams with Mark McFail

    VPL JAMS is a monthly music series that highlights the local Crossroads music scene. Mark Patrick McFail “My name is Mark Patrick McFail and I was raised listening to American music. Specifically, the Country Blues, Folk and Bluegrass. I began playing guitar at 13 as a street musician and later migrated to Texas attending college at Texas State University where I played in local clubs. Upon moving to Victoria in 2014, I began making a name for myself playing at Farmer's Markets, Restaurants, and Wineries, where I have lived for six years.” Join us for an intimate evening of acoustic music with Mark Patrick McFail.

  5. Story Time Express

    We will be starting a new program in March called the Story Time Express. It is a book subscription service that parents can sign their kids up for each month. The book kit will come with two books and a craft in a fun bag based on the month’s theme. March’s Theme is “Under the Sea.” Registration for March opens up on March 8th, and pick-up starts on March 15th. Please see the Youth Services Team if you have any questions!

  9. Crafternoon: Hybrid Program: Make & Take Key Chain

    We will be making our own key chains in this hybrid Crafternoon 2 part program! This Crafternoon is special because it will be our first IN PERSON program of the year while maintaining the “Pick up and go” portion. For pick up and go: lobby and curbside pickup will be available between 12pm-6p.m. While supplies last. IN PERSON: 3 sessions will be available at the following times: 2:00– 2:45 PM, 3:00– 3:45 PM, 4:00– 4:45 PM. This is a registration only event.
