[ARCHIVED] Victoria Public Library provides voter registration assistance

Red, white and blue voting badges

Residents who still haven’t registered to vote can do so at a convenient location they might not expect: the Victoria Public Library.

The library, like all public libraries in Texas, is a voter registration agency. Residents can visit the front desk at the library to pick up a voter registration application and request assistance with filling out the application.

“Residents will have the chance to ask questions, and we can help them find the information they need,” said Development and Partnership Coordinator Kayla Massey.

On National Voter Registration Day, Sept. 20, community volunteers will visit the library to provide additional assistance.

Completed voter registration applications can be turned in at the library; dropped off at the Victoria County Elections Office, 2805 N. Navarro St., Suite 500; or mailed to the Secretary of State Elections Division.

Voter registration records are managed by the Victoria County Elections Office, which is also in charge of administering elections in Victoria County.
