South Texas Veterans Health Care System will host a groundbreaking ceremony at the new site of the Victoria Outpatient Clinic on Wednesday, June 7, 2023, from 10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. at 311 Spring Green Blvd., Victoria, Texas 77904. This new site is located at the East corner of Nursery Drive and Springwood Drive of the Springwood Medical Park.

The opening of this new clinic is an important event for South Texas Veterans Health Care System and demonstrates our commitment to meeting the needs of our Veterans. South Texas Veterans Health Care System is proud to partner with The Hamstra Group, Inc., in developing this 22,000 square foot facility, which will be located on the Northwest side of Victoria. This clinic is expected to open in July 2024.

“This new clinic is the next step in increasing access for our Veterans in the Victoria area,” Dr. Julianne Flynn, Executive Director said. “We are proud to work with our community partners and ensuring our Veterans are treated in state-of-the-art facilities and continue to access high quality, comprehensive healthcare that they deserve and have earned.”

This new clinic will offer six Patient Aligned Care Teams and provide services such as Mental Health, Primary Care Mental Health Integration, PharmD, Social Work, General Radiology, Ultrasound, Teleretinal, Telederm, Teleaudio, Telespecialty, and an Optical Shop.

This event is open to the public. All Veterans and their families are invited to participate in the groundbreaking ceremony. For additional information about the event, please contact Ms. Nenette Madla, Chief, Public Affairs at (210) 978-2002 or Ms. Justin Saucier at (228) 354-5713.

Support from the VSTDC

From the City of Victoria

The new clinic was made possible in part by a performance agreement between the Victoria Sales Tax Development Corporation and Diversified Wellness Associates, the developer of Springwood Medical Park. Under the agreement, the VSTDC will reimburse Diversified Wellness Associates up to $380,000 toward the cost of a road and utilities leading to the new building.

The agreement is funded by Type 4B sales tax revenue, which legally must be used for economic and community development.

Victoria’s comprehensive plan, Plan 2035, calls for the City to support Victoria’s growth as a medical hub serving the surrounding region. This will help enhance the local economy, create jobs and improve residents’ access to health care.
