The kickoff to Victoria’s bicentennial year will feature an evening of entertainment culminating in a majestic fireworks display in Riverside Park.
The City will host its inaugural New Year’s Eve Blastoff Dec. 31 at the Riverside Park Special Events Area (near Riverside Stadium).
Activities will begin at 6 p.m., and the show will begin at 9 p.m.
The fun before the show
Vendors will sell light-up toys, and the Convention & Visitors Bureau will give away fiber optic wands while supplies last.
Trevino’s Concessions, Ganga’s Eats & Events, Kona Ice and Sip & Shine Café will provide refreshments.
A Plus Party Rentals will provide nine inflatable activities.
Kimmy Rickman will provide free face painting.
The evening will also feature live performances by Dreamstereo and Texas 361.
Where to watch
The aerial fireworks display will be visible throughout the park.
Residents are welcome to park at Riverside Stadium, the Riverside Soccer Complex, Riverside Golf Course or the Children’s Park to view the show. Residents may not park on the grass, except in overflow parking areas designated by Victoria Parks & Recreation.
The show will also be livestreamed on Facebook at City of Victoria, Texas – Government.
