[ARCHIVED] Rainbow trout fishing opens at Riverside Park duck pond

The Riverside Park duck pond is open for fishing.

The Texas Parks & Wildlife Department has stocked the duck pond with 850 rainbow trout for sport fishing.

The rules

Fishing license required for all anglers 17 or older. Pole and line fishing only. 2 poles per anglerPHOTO #2: A sign at the Riverside Park duck pond displays Texas Parks & Wildlife Department fishing regulations. Rainbow trout are the only species currently available in the pond.

Under TPWD regulations, anglers may keep no more than five fish per day.

A fishing license is required for all anglers 17 or older and for adults accompanying an angler under 17.

Fishing regulations will be enforced by the Texas Game Wardens.

Stay connected

Parks & Recreation is planning to use the pond to host fishing events for children and adults. More information will be provided as it becomes available.
