About the Friends of the Victoria Public Library
Funding from the Friends makes it possible for the library to offer special programs at no cost to patrons. Most recently, the library utilized Friends funding to cover costs at the annual Gingerbread House Workshop, which was attended by over 1,000 people. Funding also enhances the services and amenities at the library.
During the past fiscal year, the Friends donated over $21,000 to the library. The pledge to the library for the current fiscal year is $24,000.
Support our mission
The Friends seeks donations of gently used books, DVDs, audiobooks and music CDs throughout the year for its sales. Donations may be delivered to the library during regular operating hours.
Community members are encouraged to join the Friends or renew their memberships with annual dues of $10. Membership envelopes are available at the library.
Residents will have the opportunity to join or renew their memberships during the upcoming book sale, including during the Sunday members-only sale.
