The deadline to enter the Victoria Texas Bicentennial Poster Contest has been extended to March 22, giving students additional time to complete their artistic creations in honor of the City of Victoria’s 200th birthday.
Students in grades K-8 from any public, private or home school in Victoria County may participate in the contest.
This opportunity allows students to capture the essence of "200 Years of Life in the City of Victoria" through original artwork.
All artwork must portray how the City of Victoria has grown over the last 200 years and what the student envisions the future of Victoria could be. There will be first-, second- and third-place winners in each of the four categories:
- Kindergarten-1st grade
- 2nd-3rd grade
- 4th-5th grade
- 6th-8th grade
Entries may be dropped off at the Explore Victoria Visitors Center (700 N. Main St., Suite 101) March 11-22 during business hours. Each school or homeschool may submit a total of five poster entries within each age group and a maximum total of 20 per school.
