UPDATED 9 A.M. JULY 8: As Beryl moves away from Victoria, residents are reminded that City office closures remain in effect for Monday, July 8. Trash and recycling scheduled for Monday will be picked up Wednesday.
All City of Victoria nonemergency offices, including the Victoria Public Library, will close Monday due to Hurricane Beryl.
Residential garbage, curbside recycling and yard waste pickup that is scheduled for Monday will be picked up Wednesday.
Waste pickup on Wednesday may be delayed due to these extra pickups. Residents are reminded to have their carts out on the curb by 7 a.m. and leave them out for the whole day.
The compost site and the landfill will close Monday. Commercial waste pickup will be suspended as well.
The City of Victoria Municipal Court docket scheduled for Monday will be rescheduled. Court staff will notify all parties of their new court appearance date.
Riverside Golf Course will close Sunday and Monday.
All splash pads will close by 10 a.m. Sunday and remain closed Monday.
City officials continue to monitor the storm in coordination with local agencies. Any additional closures, if they are needed, will be announced as information becomes available.
