The City of Victoria’s first-ever Tejas Fest is in just a few days, and residents won’t want to miss this history-making celebration of everything that makes Victoria “True to Tejas.”
The festival will be this Friday and Saturday in downtown Victoria, with activities starting at 5 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. Saturday.

Live music
The De Leon Plaza performance pavilion will feature Tejano music on Friday and a selection of country and other genres Saturday. Rock out to the big names on the mainstage or visit the Mother Cluckers stage on Saturday to hear a variety of local favorites.
The headliner for Friday will be Bobby Pulido, and the headliner for Saturday will be the Josh Abbott Band. Grupo Vida will no longer be performing following the lead singer’s recent departure; they will be replaced by Latin Grammy-nominated Tejano artist Ram Herrera.
Tejas Fest Market

This market organized by Mother Cluckers Downtown will feature dozens of vendors selling treats, crafts, apparel and many more unique items.
Armadillo races

Saturday will feature armadillo races throughout the day in honor of Armadillo Fest’s signature event. The Sparks Agency will supply racing armadillos for residents to cheer on (no outside armadillos allowed!)
Friendly competition
Residents can show their skills in cornhole, tamale eating and margarita making for a chance to win cash prizes.
Become a volunteer
The City is still seeking volunteers to help with the Kid’s Corral, beer booth and other areas of the festival. Volunteers will receive an exclusive Tejas Fest volunteer T-shirt.
