[ARCHIVED] Local businesses sponsor Keep Victoria Beautiful volunteer dinner

Local businesses are stepping up to help Keep Victoria Beautiful celebrate the volunteers who are crucial to the nonprofit’s mission.

McCoy’s Building Supply has donated $1,000 toward Keep Victoria Beautiful’s annual volunteer appreciation dinner next month.

Other sponsors for the event include:

  • Del Papa Distributing (drinks)
  • The Chopping Block (catering)
  • Call Albert Landscaping (decorations and door prizes)
  • USA DeBusk (door prizes and overall funding)

“We are so thankful to the local businesses who’ve stepped up to help us as we say thank you to our hardworking volunteers,” said Keep Victoria Beautiful Executive Director Christy Youker. “Keep Victoria Beautiful is about bringing our community together to make a difference, and we are grateful not only to our volunteers but to the many local organizations who play a role in Keep Victoria Beautiful’s success.”

About the volunteer appreciation dinner

Keep Victoria Beautiful will host its volunteer appreciation dinner Jan. 14, 5:30-7:30 p.m., at the Victoria Community Center.

Keep Victoria Beautiful will recognize this year’s volunteer award winners at the event, including Volunteer of the Year, Volunteer Team of the Year, Most Cleanups Attended by a Team and other individual and team awards.

The event is free and open to anyone who has volunteered at a Keep Victoria Beautiful event in the past year. Attendees must RSVP by calling 361-485-3230 or visiting www.victoriatx.gov/kvb
