All City of Victoria nonemergency offices, including the Victoria Public Library and Riverside Golf Course, will close Tuesday due to inclement weather and potentially hazardous street conditions.
City officials will continue to monitor the weather to determine if any additional closures are needed this week.
Environmental Services
Tuesday’s scheduled automated garbage, and solid waste (trash, limb, yard waste and recycling pickup) will continue as scheduled, though services will be delayed. The City asks residents to place trash out for pickup by the regular pickup time and leave it there. Carts should be left out overnight; if they are not picked up Tuesday, they will be picked up Wednesday.
The landfill, the compost/brush site and Waste Management will open at 10 a.m.
Municipal Court
The Municipal Court outreach docket scheduled for Tuesday has been canceled.
The court will have a grace period for all payments that are due while City offices are closed. Residents will not be required to make payments until City offices reopen. To make payments online, go to www.victoriatx.gov/courtpay.
City Council
The City Council meeting scheduled for Tuesday has been rescheduled to Jan. 28 at 5 p.m.
