Keep Victoria Beautiful has added new award categories to its annual Volunteer Appreciation Event to better recognize the dedicated volunteers who help to fulfill KVB’s mission.
The following volunteers were awarded at the KVB Volunteer Appreciation Event on Jan. 14:
- Team Most Likely to Show Up: City of Victoria Development Services Department
Power In Numbers: UHV Athletics & Student Affairs- Youth Team of the Year: Hopkins Elementary Student Council
- Family of the Year: Torres Family
- Volunteer of the Year: Tiffany Totah
- KVB Circle of Honor Inaugural Inductee: Larry Somer
The KVB Circle of Honor was created to honor those who have won an individual or team award three times. Honorees’ names will be inscribed on a plaque that will be displayed at City Hall.
Sponsors for the event were McCoy’s Building Supply, Del Papa Distributing, The Chopping Block, Call Albert Landscaping and USA DeBusk.
