The Victoria Public Library will host a grand opening ceremony 10 a.m. Feb. 25 for the new offsite pick-up locker at the Victoria Mall near the food court entrance.
The ceremony will be followed by a meet-and-greet with refreshments. Residents will have the opportunity to visit with Victoria Public Library staff and learn more about library services.
The locker is funded by a grant from the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services (Grant # LS-253655-OLS-23) to the Texas State Library and Archives Commission under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act (2024).
How it works
PHOTO: Mayor Duane Crocker uses a Victoria Public Library card to remove materials from the library’s onsite pick-up locker.
Residents can request materials to be placed in the offsite pick-up locker or the onsite locker at the Victoria Public Library by calling 361-485-3301, emailing vpl@victoriatx.gov or using the library catalog at www.victoriatx.gov/library.
A staff member will place the materials in the locker, and residents can pick up the materials at any time using their library cards.
Residents can drop off materials using the book drops at the Victoria Mall (in the parking lot near Murdoch’s Ranch & Home Supply), the Victoria Public Library or the Dr. Pattie Dodson Public Health Center.
