The City of Victoria Parks & Recreation has opened a new restroom in Ethel Lee Tracy Park near the splash pad and playground.
The new restroom is connected to the splash pad and playground by a concrete sidewalk to provide a nearby place for caregivers to take their little ones without having to run up the hill or cut their trip short. The restroom has water fountains available for the hot sunny days to come.
This new restroom was one of the top priorities for this park requested by residents in the Parks & Recreation Master Plan.
What’s next?
Parks & Recreation are continuing to improve and update the parks of Victoria. A handful of the next projects include the following:
- Improvements will be made to the Riverside Park Soccer Complex parking lot.
- A grant application has been submitted to improve the Ted B. ReedPark trail.
- Upgrades for the Children’s Park and Splash Pad at Riverside Park are under design.
- Neighborhood parks, including Pine Street Park, Brownson Park, and the Hike and Bike Trail will be receiving new lighting and sidewalks.
