About the project

The City of Victoria is proposing a renovation project for the Community Center that will include a new covered event arena, conversion of the existing arena into an expo hall, renovation of the dome and other changes that would improve the venue’s capacity to host different types of events.

The Victoria City Council is asking voters to consider implementing a 5 percent vehicle rental tax and a 2 percent hotel occupancy tax to help fund the renovations.
