Victoria voters will be asked to consider a race for mayor as well as the Venue Tax proposed to help fund expansion and renovation of the Victoria Community Center. Two City Council positions, Super Districts 5 and 6, will appear on the ballot as uncontested races.
Hours for early voting will be:
- Tuesday, April 22, through Thursday, April 24, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Friday, April 25, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- Monday and Tuesday, April 28 and 29, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- There will be no early voting on Saturday or Sunday, April 26 or 27
The Venue Tax ballot item would implement a 2% tax on hotel room stays and 5% on car rentals. It will appear as a single proposition on the ballot. This proposition will not impact property taxes.
Election Day is Saturday, May 3, with polling taking place from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. at various locations in Victoria.
