  • VIN Etching is offered completely free of charge. We are able to offer this service free to the public because the Victoria Police Department obtained a grant from Texas Department of Transportation (Automobile Burglary and Theft Prevention Authority) which funds the VIN Etching program.

  • In order to have your vehicle etched, you will need to show a current valid driver’s license and proof of insurance card. Also the registered owner will need to be present to sign a waiver for the etching.

  • Periodically the Victoria Police Department Crime Prevention Officers will hold events around the city/county where the public can have their vehicles etched, or you can call and set up an appointment (available appointment dates and times change without notice).
