Texas Laws

View the Texas Laws and Statutes - found on a website maintained by the Texas Legislature. Most of the Criminal Laws are found in the Texas Penal Code, however some are within other codes such as the Health and Safety Code for drug/narcotics violations. Most traffic laws are found in the Transportation Code beginning primarily at Chapter 501.

Victoria City Ordinances

Traffic concerns may be reported several different ways. If this is happening right now and is a potential hazard which needs an officer to respond then call 911. If this is an ongoing issue in your neighborhood or a problem on a particular street or intersection in town, then feel free to report that in one of the following ways:

• Place a Customer Service Request through the City Website
• Visit the Victoria Police Department Facebook page and send us a private message. We will be happy to forward that message to the proper area within our department as soon as possible.

Stored Vehicles on a Public Street

If the vehicle is being stored on a public street then you may contact the Police Department in two ways:

• Call our non-emergency number at 361-573-3221 to have an officer respond. These calls are prioritized and response may be delayed.
• Place a Customer Service Request through the City Website by choosing the Police group on that page

Junked Vehicles on Private Property

• Contact the City of Victoria Code Enforcement Office at 361-485-3330
• Place a Customer Service Request through the City Website by choosing the Code Enforcement group on that page
