2026 Holiday Schedule

All trash, recycling, and yard waste routes will run as normal on the following holidays observed  by the City of Victoria:

• Presidents' Day, Monday, February 16, 2026
• Good Friday, Friday, April 3, 2026
• Memorial Day, Monday, May 25, 2026
• Juneteenth, Friday, June 19, 2026
• Independence Day, Friday, July 3, 2026
• Labor Day, Monday, September 7, 2026
• Columbus Day, Monday, October 12, 2026
• Veterans Day, Wednesday, November 11, 2026

Thanksgiving Collection Schedule

Trash, Recycling, and Yard Waste Collection

Thanksgiving Collection Day:
If your trash, recycling, and yard waste is normally collected on Thursdays, it will be collected on Friday, November 27th. Please have your carts at the curb by 7:00 am.

Day After Thanksgiving Collection Day:
If your trash, recycling, and yard waste is normally collected on Fridays, it will be collected on Saturday, November 28th. Please have your carts at the curb by 7:00 am.

Christmas Collection Schedule

Trash, Recycling, and Yard Waste Collection

Christmas Eve Collection:
All trash, recycling, and yard waste routes are running on regular schedule. Please have your carts out at the curb by 7:00 am.

Christmas Day Collection:
If your trash, recycling, and yard waste is normally collected on Fridays, it will be collected Saturday, December 26th. Please have your carts at the curb by 7:00 am.

Extra Holiday Trash

If you have extra trash after Christmas, it will be collected during your regular trash day on the week of December 28th through January 2nd. As a reminder, yard waste will not be collected during this time. Please place extra bags or store-bought trash cans 5 feet away from your gray trash cart.

New Year's Day Collection Schedule

Trash and Recycling Collection

New Year's Day Collection:
If your trash and recycling is normally collected on Fridays, it will be collected Saturday, January 2nd. Please have your carts at the curb by 7:00 am. As a reminder, yard waste will not be collected during this time.

Live Christmas Tree Collection

You can start placing your live Christmas trees at the curb on your regular yard waste day starting the week of January 4th. Please make sure that all lights, ornaments, and tree stands are removed beforehand. We cannot accept live Christmas trees that are flocked with artificial snow.

If you need to dispose of an artificial or flocked live tree, please call our office to schedule a large item pick up.
