62. Permit Conditions and Scheduling Inspections

    This permit becomes null and void if a fire inspection is not performed within 12 months of the issuance date. Issuance of a permit does not authorize any violation of applicable codes or ordinances governing construction. In accordance with the 2021 IFC, this permit and the City‑approved plans must be readily available at the job site at all times. If these documents are not present upon request by the fire code official, fines may be assessed.

    Please request inspections at least 48 hours in advance by contacting our office by phone at 361-485-3460 or by email at FMO@victoriatx.gov 

    Inspections canceled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours’ notice are subject to a $100 fee. All applicable TDI forms must be prepared and available on site at the time of inspection.

    *Effective January 20, 2026 If onsite violations are identified and a red tag is issued during an inspection, the following fees will apply: $250 for the initial occurrence and $350 for each follow-up occurrence. All fees must be paid in full before a reinspection can be scheduled.

    In addition, the existing reinspection fees remain in effect: If a reinspection fails and additional reinspections are required, the following fees will apply until the inspection passes: $50 for the second reinspection, $75 for the third reinspection, and $100 for each subsequent reinspection.

    The applicant is responsible for all work performed under this permit and must comply with all applicable codes and standards.
