68-A Vehicle Inspection

The Victoria Police Department's Auto Crimes Task Force conducts VTR 68-A and VIN verification inspections on certain vehicles at the request of the following Tax Assessor's Offices:

Victoria County, Refugio County, Lavaca County, Gonzales County, Goliad County, Dewitt County, and Calhoun County

If you were made aware by one of the above-mentioned tax offices that your vehicle requires an inspection, Officers will be conducting these types of inspections at the City of Victoria Community Center located at 2905 E. North Street. The next inspection dates are: 

Inspections will last until 15 minutes after the last inspection is performed. If no persons arrive before 9:45 am, the inspections will be canceled for that date. No appointment is required.

At the time of the inspection, you will need to bring:

• The vehicle(s), trailer(s), or motorcycle(s) to be inspected
• The $40.00 inspection fee receipt
• A completed 68-A Inspection Request Form (provided to you when the fee is paid)
• Title, Bill of Sale, or any supporting documents that show ownership or purchase of the vehicle.  Shop-built trailers must provide receipts of materials, photos, and other documentation that the trailer is shop-built.

Inspection Fee must be paid at the Victoria Police Department located at 2525 N. Main Street. Cash, check, or money order are acceptable forms of payment.
