Award of Excellence for Financial Reporting

The Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) awarded a Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting to the City of Victoria for its comprehensive annual financial report for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2023. This is the 41st consecutive year that the City of Victoria has received this prestigious award. In order to be awarded a Certificate of Achievement, a government must publish an easily readable and efficiently organized comprehensive annual financial report

Distinguished Budget Presentation Award

The City of Victoria received a Distinguished Budget Presentation Award from the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) for its annual budget for fiscal year 2024. In order to receive this award, a governmental unit must publish a budget document that meets program criteria as a policy document, as an operations guide, as a financial plan, and as a communications device. This is the 40th consecutive year that the City has received this prestigious award.
