Water Rescue
The objective of the Water Rescue Team: To be prepared to respond efficiently when called to emergencies involving any body of water, and to provide highly skilled and trained personnel to rescue those in need.
Team
The Water Rescue Team is made up of members who have been trained as:
- Advanced Swiftwater Rescue Technicians
- Rescue Boat Operators
- Scuba Divers
- Swiftwater Rescue Technicians
Certification
Members of the Swiftwater Rescue Team are also certified through the National Board on Fire Service Professional Qualifications, also known as the Pro Board. This is an internationally recognized organization that accredits agencies to certify emergency responders to the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Professional Qualification standards.
