Off-duty jobs are voluntary, and there is no guarantee an officer will be available when requested. The Department will make every effort to fill requests and will lend assistance from other agencies when applicable.

• HOLIDAY/SPECIAL DAY RATE**: The holiday rate will apply to the following days: Superbowl Sunday afternoon/evening, Easter, Memorial Day Weekend (Friday through Monday), Independence Day, Labor Day, Halloween afternoon/evening, Thanksgiving Eve, Thanksgiving Day, Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Day after Christmas, New Year’s Eve and New Year's Day.
If part of the shift falls on a holiday/special day, the entire shift will be billed at the holiday/special day rate.
• SHORT NOTICE REQUESTS***: Applies to requests received within one week of the scheduled start time.
• Cancellation policy: Vendors canceling or reducing assignments within 2 hours of the start of the assignment are required to pay a cancellation fee of $50.00 to each officer affected plus any administrative fees set forth by RollKall.
• Events allowing the consumption of alcoholic beverages will require a minimum of two officers.

In order to efficiently respond to requests and manage the employment of off-duty police officers, The Victoria Police Department has partnered with RollKall to provide services related to hiring off-duty officers effective March 10, 2023. The above listed pay rate schedule will take effect for requests starting September 1, 2024.
